Hi, I’m Sue, co-founder of Pickle’s Pet Pals. Animals have been at the heart of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child, I was never far from an animal friend—dogs, cats, small furries, fish, and even insects. I’ve shared my home and heart with pets all my adult life, including dogs, cats, hamsters, mice, tropical fish, and even two goldfish with big personalities, Piggy and Ralph. Beyond my own pets, I’ve been privileged to care for the pets of friends and family, and I’ve loved every moment.

For more than a decade, I co-ran a dog welfare organisation, and today I’m also the proud co-founder of Woofability, an online resource dedicated to helping dog owners give their best friends the happiest, healthiest lives possible.

Pickle’s Pet Pals was inspired by my darling Duchess, affectionately known as Pickle, who I sadly had to say goodbye to this year after 16½ wonderful, love-filled years. She helped heal my heart when my bestest boy, Tinker, went to the Bridge at the grand old age of 18. Duchess was my best friend, my walking buddy, and a lover of a cosy restaurant. Sam and I founded Pickle’s Pet Pals to share the same love, care, and devotion we’ve always given our own pets, with yours.

Hi, I’m Sam, co-founder of Pickle’s Pet Pals. Growing up in the countryside I’ve always been surrounded by animals, and they’ve always been a huge part of my life. From dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea-pigs to the odd farm animal, caring for pets has always come naturally to me. I’ve also looked after dogs and cats for friends and neighbours over the years, which only deepened my love of looking after them. I’ve always enjoyed being outside in the fresh air and doing plenty of walking, this is made all the better with a paw pal to join me.

Pickle’s Pet Pals was inspired by my business partner Sue’s much-loved dog Duchess—affectionately known as Pickle, who sadly passed away this year after a lifetime of adventures and fun. She was the heart of our lives and now she’s the heart of our name. Together, Sue and I created Pickle’s Pet Pals to give your pets the same care, love, and attention we’ve always given our own.
